Mission: To coordinate, champion, and leverage resources to help organizations who work to protect, preserve, and restore the environmental and agricultural resources of the Great Miami River and Little Miami River watersheds. Vision: To be a nationally-recognized leader for our capability to maximize educational, civic, governmental, and private resources for the Partner organizations who work to improve the quality of life for the communities in the Great Miami River and Little Miami River watersheds. |
The Partners for the Environment (PFE) is an alliance of environmental organizations, government and civic organizations, and public and private educational institutions. These organizations share the common goal of protecting, restoring, preserving, and promoting the environmental and agricultural resources of the Great Miami River and Little Miami River Watersheds — an 18 county region in southwest Ohio. The Dayton Foundation, The Miami Conservancy District, Five Rivers MetroParks, and The Greater Dayton Conservation Fund are sponsoring this effort for the purpose of improving the capacity and effectiveness of local organizations and programs. Goals: • Protect, Preserve, and Promote the Environmental and Agricultural Resources in the Great Miami River and Little Miami River Watersheds • Increase the Success of the Partner Organizations • Increase Resources and Improve Participation in the Partner Organizations • Establish an Identity for the Great Miami River and Little Miami River Watersheds with a focus on the environment | |
